So you’ve heard about the book blogger contest and you feel left out. Don’t despair dear reader, we’ve got something special just for you. It’s a chain letter from FRANNY FLANDERS.

Franny needs your help coming up with a recipe for WORLD PEACE.  So what are you waiting for? GO. GO. GO.

HERE’S THE LETTER:

Hi, my name is Franny Flanders,

You don’t know me. Well, the fact of the matter is, I’m fictitious. But I have a juicy (and totally non-fictitious) proposition for you: How’d you like to win an iPod Nano and solve World Peace??

Seriously. I’m not kidding. They’re both within your reach, so read on…

Just to be upfront, this is a chain letter…but DO NOT PANIC. There’s none of that bogus “bad luck” stuff attached to it. Nothing bad will happen if you don’t send it on to your friends. Except that you will deprive yourself of the rare and most excellent opportunity to bring peace to the world and win an iPod Nano.

It all started when I discovered a magical box in my hippie-to-the-extreme Grandmother’s closet. If you’d like to know what actually happened (in a fictional kind of way) you can read all about it in a book called KARMA BITES.

All you have to do is send this letter to ten of your friends plus a copy back to me at bittenbykarma@gmail.com. Make sure that you put the words “World Peace” in the subject line to enter our drawing for an iPod Nano.

I’d love it if you post your recipe for world peace at recipesforworldpeace.com and that will count as another entry in our drawing.

Give world peace a chance and maybe you’ll be rewarded with, well, world peace, which would rock, AND an iPod Nano (which definitely rocks). Check you later, peeps!

Franny Flanders

P.S. if you post the letter on your Facebook page and send me the URL, that will count as a third entry…that triples your chance of winning an iPod Nano!

FF

HERE ARE THE RULES:

1) Send a copy of the chain-letter you’ll find at http://bit.ly/karmabites to ten of your friends, plus a copy back to me at bittenbykarma@gmail.com, (that would be eleven email addresses altogether). Remember, you must cut and paste the chain letter exactly as you find it… though feel free to add your own comments when you send the letter to your friends.

2) For an additional chance to win, submit your ideas for world peace on the blog: http://bit.ly/karmabites It can be a recipe, a poem, an essay, a joke, a formula, or plain old good advice. We want to hear from you!

3) Make sure the words “World Peace” are in the subject line.

4) You can earn additional chances to win by sending another copy of the letter to another ten friends, again with a copy to bittenbykarma@gmail.com. For every letter you send out to another group of ten friends, you get another entry in our drawing for the iPod Nano (I know, awesome, right?)

5) If you post the letter on your Facebook page and send me the URL, that will count as ANOTHER entry (it’s crazy, we’re practically handing you an iPod).

6) We’re scheduled to hold the drawing to choose the recipient of the iPod Nano on September 16, 2010.  We will also be giving away other cool swag to several of the entrants (i.e. bracelets, necklaces, bookmarks, etc).

7) Rules and conditions may change without notice at any time at the discretion of the authors… but someone is definitely gonna get that iPod Nano.

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD KARMA!

To  show our appreciation for YA book bloggers (upon whom readers, authors and even publishers increasingly depend for news, reviews and information about new YA books), we’re running a contest in which both bloggers and readers can participate. There are big surprises in store, especially for the bloggers.

As you know, KARMA BITES officially hits shelves on August 16th. What you don’t know is that KARMA BITES is only the beginning for us. We have two new YA books in the works. Our Book Bloggers’ Contest starts now and will run until September 1.  We are offering up a couple of very special prizes. So listen up…

Anyone who satisfies a minimum requirement will be entered in a drawing to receive the very first ARC of one of our new books. And our Grand Prize?  We’ll incorporate the name of your blog into the story line of one of our upcoming YA books.  That’s right, YOUR blog mentioned in a published YA novel.

It’s a HOLD YOUR OWN CONTEST CONTEST. The rules are listed below. Check it out. And come play.

REVIEWS, REVIEWS…

July 28, 2010

The reviews are rolling in and we’re relieved and grateful for the positive words of encouragement. Here’s a [...]
